How to choose a funny retirement gift

This one is for the colleague who made the job bearable, so it suits a retirement party, a last day, a farewell lunch or a desk left empty on a Friday afternoon. The joke only works if they were genuinely one of the legends, so save it for the person everyone will miss rather than the one quietly transferring teams. Then match the size to how they actually drink: the I Used To Work With Absolute Legend Coffee Mug 11 oz Black for a tidy desk, the 15 oz Coffee Mug for the refill-averse, the Insulated Coffee Cup 14oz With Handle And Lid for the commute, and the Vacuum Insulated Tumbler White or Tumbler Black for anyone who sips all day.

FAQ

What do you give a coworker who is retiring?

Give them something they will keep using once the badge is handed in. A mug or tumbler that says you worked together beats a generic card, and the I Used To Work With Absolute Legend Coffee Mug 15 oz does the sentiment and the joke in one. Have the team sign a card to go with it.

Is this a good farewell gift for someone leaving the team?

Yes, and it reads better than a leaving card nobody rereads. The past tense is the whole point, so it fits the person walking out the door rather than the people staying. For a commuter, the Insulated Coffee Cup 14oz With Handle And Lid gets used from day one of the new job.

Are these mugs dishwasher and microwave safe?

The ceramic mugs are, in both 11 oz and 15 oz. The stainless steel tumblers and the 14 oz insulated coffee cup are hand wash only and should never go in the microwave, which is the trade-off for keeping a drink hot all morning.

Do you have other office gifts?

Yes. If the legend in question is staying put, our coworker and colleague mugs and tumblers collection covers everyday office humor, Secret Santa and birthdays without the farewell framing.
