Description
Design
This 11oz white ceramic brain mug features a labelled anatomical diagram of the human brain, drawn in left-facing lateral view as a classroom chart rather than a cartoon. It was made for psychology students and majors, psychologists, school psychologists, psychology teachers, neurologists and neuroscience staff who already know every structure on it by name.
The brain is a flat colour illustration with soft shading and visible gyri and sulci, with the lobes colour-coded in yellow, blue, pink and green, a reddish-brown cerebellum tucked underneath at the back and an orange brain stem descending from the centre. Thin black leader lines connect each part to its label: Primary motor cortex, Central sulcus, Primary somatosensory cortex, Frontal lobe, Parietal lobe, Temporal lobe, Occipital lobe, Olfactory bulb, Sylvian fissure, Brain Stem and Cerebellum.
The diagram shows the brain from one side: the lateral surface of a single cerebral hemisphere plus the cerebellum and brain stem below it, so it reads clearly across the side of the mug during an early lecture, a long study session or an afternoon of marking papers. This neuroscience coffee mug is a good gift for a neuroscience student or psychology major who wants a correct diagram on their desk, and it suits anyone who teaches or works with the brain every day.
