Description
Design
This tumbler puts "WHAT PART OF" across the top and "DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" along the bottom, with a dense block of hand-written math filling the space between them. It is one of the better electrical engineer gifts for someone who spends their day explaining a circuit to people who nod and then ask the same question again.
The print is white on the dark body, stacked in three bands: "WHAT PART OF" across the top in a heavy, condensed, tightly spaced all-caps sans-serif, the math block in the middle, and "DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" centered below in the same typeface at a slightly smaller size. The equations are hand-written in loose, slanted script with uneven baselines — derivatives and limits, trig identities, a summation sign, a double integral, π ≈ 3,1415, a radical, a quadratic line, and a small bracketed 3×3 matrix. Tucked in among them are a labeled right triangle and a sine wave sketched on an x–y axis, so the whole block reads like a working blackboard rather than one tidy proof.
This tumbler holds 20 oz and comes with a spill-resistant clear lid, so it carries coffee through a long lab morning and iced tea through an afternoon of drafting, and the included stainless steel straw makes it easy to drink from at a desk. It is a funny gift for an electrical engineer who already owns enough mugs and would rather have the joke on something insulated.
Perfect Gift For
- Electrical engineers — a good gift for an electrical engineer is something they will actually use at work, and this insulated tumbler goes from the office to the shop floor on birthdays, work anniversaries, or Christmas.
- Engineering students — for graduation or a first-semester care package, one of the more practical engineering gift ideas for someone who lives on cold coffee and late study sessions.
- Engineering professors and mentors — electrical engineering gifts with a sense of humor make better end-of-term thank-you presents than another desk plaque.
